THE LOST LADY
Original Painting — 80cm x 60cm
DESCRIPTION:
The Lost Lady portrays a quiet night by the water. A solitary boat rests on still, mirror‑like waters beneath a sky layered with soft drifting clouds.
A lone figure stands at the shore — a moment of waiting, reflection, and quiet longing. In the distance, the silhouette of a softly lit building — almost castle‑like — glows with tiny warm lights, adding depth and a gentle sense of hope to the tranquil lakeside scene.
ARTIST’S STORY
I painted this piece years ago, shortly after arriving in the UK. I felt homesick, lost, and unsure of where I belonged. The lights in the distant castle became a symbol of comfort — a reminder that even in loneliness, there is always a small light guiding us forward.
A PIECE FOR ANY SPACE
This artwork brings a sense of calm, stillness, and emotional depth — a serene pause captured on canvas.
